Foraging For Food

Dewberry picking is my kind of fun! Chock full of vitamin C, fiber, antioxidants, and an abundant sweet tart flavor, this may just become your new favorite fruit! Check out the Texas Wild Plant and Food Foragers for a meet up near you!

 

Since I am keenly aware of how detrimental added sugar is to the body, I decided to steer clear of making a dessert. I wanted to respect the beauty and flavor of these fresh berries and thought a savory and sweet salad would be a great way to let these little berries shine! I had some beets, kale and radishes from my farm produce box - and walaa - this pink and purple salad was born. I could barely keep my husband's hands off this long enough for me to take a pic!
